The Alliance for Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Systems Biology (ABCS) at Texas A&M
Texas A&M University has an active and expanding interdisciplinary research and educational program in bioinformatics, computational biology and systems biology. The objective of the Alliance for Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Systems Biology (ABCS) is to bring together researchers at TAMU in the broad areas of covered by ABCS and to build communities and facilitate synergistic research and educational activities.

- Special Issue on Genomic Signal Processing of EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, Submissions due February 1, 2010
- Several regular courses and Special Topics courses (489 and 689) are being offered in the areas of ABCS for Fall 2009. See listing of these courses, and other relevant courses, on the ABCS Courses page.
ABCS activities and resources include:
- An annual workshop including keynote talks by prominent external speakers, several technical sessions, and a poster session. The technical sessions and the poster session present current research at Texas A&M and nearby institutions.
- Monthly seminars where TAMU researchers present their work and discuss topics of interest to the ABCS community.
- Mailing lists and a calendar that inform the ABCS community of courses, seminars, and other items of general interest to the community.
