The Alliance for Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Systems Biology (ABCS) at Texas A&M
Texas A&M University has an active and expanding interdisciplinary research and educational program in bioinformatics, computational biology and systems biology. The objective of the Alliance for Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Systems Biology (ABCS) is to bring together researchers at TAMU in the broad areas of covered by ABCS and to build communities and facilitate synergistic research and educational activities.
Announcements
- Ed Dougherty will speak at the inaugural ABCS monthly seminar at 4:00pm on Friday September 19, 2008.
- The Center for Statistical Bioinformatics and the Bioinformatics and Nutrition Training Program are sponsoring a Statistical Bioinformatics Workshop on Saturday, October 4.
ABCS activities and resources include:
- An annual workshop including keynote talks by prominent external speakers, several technical sessions, and a poster session. The technical sessions and the poster session present current research at Texas A&M and nearby institutions.
- Monthly seminars where TAMU researchers present their work and discuss topics of interest to the ABCS community.
- Mailing lists and a calendar that inform the ABCS community of courses, seminars, and other items of general interest to the community.
