ABCS 2009 Workshop on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Systems Biology

The Alliance for Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Systems Biology at Texas A&M organized  the second annual Workshop on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Systems Biology on March 26-27, 2009 at Texas A&M University. The workshop was sponsored by the Vice President for Research at Texas A&M University. The workshop was held at the Donald L. Houston Center in Texas A&M's Research Park.

The workshop program consisted of keynotes by Ronald Levy, James Sacchettini, and Shankar Subramaniam, several technical sessions organized by TAMU researchers, and poster sessions during the reception on Thursday and the lunch on Friday. The technical sessions and the poster sessions will present current research at Texas A&M and nearby institutions. The event will provide networking opportunities and allow researchers to showcase their work to each other.

Participation at the workshop is open to all. All participants are encouraged to contribute to the poster sessions that will be held on Thursday afternoon during the reception and Friday during lunch. The contact author (only one) for each poster will be eligible for complimentary (free) registration. The deadline for poster submissions has been extended to Wednesday March 25, 2009; posters registered after the original deadline of March 24, 2009 may not make it into the printed program, though they will be listed on the website. Poster submission will be handled through the workshop registration site.
